Semiconductors play a crucial role in powering electronic devices and driving innovations across sectors like communications, computing, healthcare, transportation, and clean energy. 

BB2S seeks to collaborate with leading technology companies to offer specialized research and development training for middle and high school students in Oregon. 

This initiative is designed to ignite student interest in STEM by engaging them in semiconductor research and development. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and prepare the next generation of engineers and technologists, with the hope that many will pursue careers in the broader STEM workforce.

  • To Be Announced

  • To be eligible, students must

    • Be enrolled in a Middle/ High school in Oregon at the time of application

    • Be between the ages of 11 and 18 years

    • Have an interest in science and technology; no prior experience required

  • By the end of the program, students will

    • Understand the fundamental concepts of semiconductors and their applications.

    • Tour state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities 

    • Learn about the different types of semiconductors and their properties.

    • Gain practical experience in semiconductor research and development

    • Explore potential career paths in the semiconductor industry.

    • Engage with engineers and researchers for mentorship and guidance.
