GENERAL

Students who participate in our programs are usually between the ages of 5 and 18.

It typically depends on the type of program being offered. Some programs require a $25 application fee. Other programs like the summer camps typically cost about $100 per student for a week.

We partner with several elementary and high schools through SUN for after-school programs. We also partner with tertiary institutions for the residential and day camps.
All schools are in the Portland Metropolitan Area.

BB2S staff review all applications and will send an email with further instructions to parents and guardians.

Some of the training provided include Mandatory Reporting Training, First Aid & CPR Training among others.

While there are general criteria for volunteers and instructors, each volunteer role may have specific requirements needed.

BB2S welcomes volunteers for varied roles including social media management, communications and public relations, special events, among others.
SUMMER CAMPS

Our number one priority is safety. We ensure that everybody is safe while having fun. If incidents do come up, we document them in incident reports and communicate to parents/guardians.

Our camp typically hosts around 20 to 25 students.

The residential camps are typically free while the day camps are organized at a fee.

No. Parents do not get to observe their children during the camp day except for special instances like presentations. Parents get to observe via zoom in this case.

No. There are no opportunities for parents to volunteer at camp.

While there is no nurse on-site, we have a first aid kit with basic medication available. If a child experiences severe symptoms, we will contact the parents immediately and arrange for the child to be taken to the hospital.
