MARISA DEMARA
Program Coordinator
Marisa has lived most of her life in Portland, she currently resides in Gladstone and is originally from Sinaloa, Mexico. Marisa graduated Roosevelt High School, and received an Associates Degree in general studies and a 1yr Certificate in Human Resource Management from Clackamas Community College. She is currently attending Portland State University, working on obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management.
Marisa has been a part of Building Blocks 2 Success for 11 years, when her children started participating in the program. Marisa first began volunteering as a coach/mentor and is now happy to form part of the staff. She enjoys working with youth, helping them build and strengthen their problem solving skills, team building skills, public speaking and presentations. She is passionate about working with the youth, seeing them build character, emotional intelligence and grit with every Lego Robotics season challenge they work on.
Marisa enjoys reading, practicing martial arts (Hap-ki-do) and attending her children's athletic activities.
